Nrcs rainfall types
WebThis XML file provides the six regional rainfall distributions for California (CA-1 through CA-6) developed by NRCS to replace the SCS Types I, IA and II distributions used previously. The rainfall distribution values were taken from the February 2013 tables provided by NRCS for use with WinTR-55. WebEvent-based rainfall-runoff models conceptually express the relationship between the amount of rainfall and the direct runoff within a watershed, and these models are used to estimate design floods. The amount of direct runoff (i.e., excess rainfall) is a watershed response to total rainfall and is a critical component for hydrological analysis.
